Original Tabi Shoes “Wide Type” and “Narrow Type” Comparison

Our original Tabi Shoes are broadly classified into “Wide type” and “Narrow type”, and U-ten is a “Wide type”.
Compared to the Narrow type, the Wide type is wider, has a thinner sole, and is flat without an arch in the arch of the foot. The Wide type has three Kohaze clasps, while the Narrow type has seven.

Compared to our other products, they are wider and have no arch, in the arch of the foot, so while they are loose and easy to wear, some people may find the fit insufficient.
The use of insoles, such as cup insoles (sold separately), can create arches and cushioning while enhancing the fit.

Materials designed for comfort

The three-layered “High Blizzatech” material, consisting of nylon tussar, polyurethane film, and nylon tricot, allows internal moisture to escape while keeping waterproof and water-repellent as long as possible.

“Environmentally Conscious Next-Generation Materials” by Toray Industries, Inc.

The nylon fabric used for the lining is made of 58% recycled nylon staple fiber called “CEBONNER®”, which was created by Toray’s proprietary spinning technology from fiber scraps and other materials.

By using recycled nylon yarn, which Toray is working on as an environmentally friendly next-generation material, we hope to help reduce the burden on the consumer society, even if only a little.
