Features of Tabi Shoes (Jika-tabi)

Original Tabi Shoes “Wide Type” and “Narrow Type” Comparison

Our original Tabi Shoes are broadly classified into “Wide type” and “Narrow type”, and TIGRE is a “Wide type”.
Compared to the Narrow type, the Wide type is wider, has a thinner sole, and is flat without an arch in the arch of the foot. The Wide type has three Kohaze clasps, while the Narrow type has seven.

Features of Wide type

Thin, flat sole that grips the ground

The thin, flat sole allows you to stand on the ground like a deck shoe and grips the ground firmly. Ideal not only for walking around town, but also for a short hikes.

ソールの柔らかさ

Enjoy wearing and showing them in three different ways

You can change the way you wear them in three ways: high-cut with all the Kohaze clasps fastened, low-cut with only one fastened for the fit, or slip-on without fastening the Kohaze clasps.
*Some wide types have shoelaces.

折り返し

Optional insole for flexible fit

Compared to our other products, they are wider and have no arch, in the arch of the foot, so while they are loose and easy to wear, some people may find the fit insufficient.
The use of insoles, such as cup insoles (sold separately), can create arches and cushioning while enhancing the fit.
